Horseback riding in one of the most exclusive eastern Sicily environments, among the wild nature of the Alcantara River Park. A fantastic adventure to live with your friends and spend a day full of fun.

The horseback ride in the Alcantara Valley mainly winds along the banks of the river, where through nature trails we will discover wildlife landscapes and ancient lava flows sculpted by the river that over the millennia have shaped the basaltic rock giving it unique and spectacular shapes.

On the way, we would visit famous Byzantine Cuba (a rural chapel where Cuba was built by Basilian monks starting from the 7th century) and then we will reach the small Castiglione Gorges, wherein the warmer months, it is possible to cool off in the cool waters of the river.

This horseback riding tour is accompanied by a specialized Engea equitable tourist guide and is suitable for all participants.

  Tours run between 8.30am and 6pm.

  In July and August the tours take place in the cooler hours, therefore avoiding the hours from 1pm to 4pm.

  For this excursion, it is important to arrive about 30 minutes before the departure time.

• Nearest highway exit: Giardini Naxos. If your road to reach the Alcantara Gorges includes the motorway route, take the Giardini Naxos motorway exit and continue towards Francavilla di Sicilia.
