Horseback riding in one of the most exclusive eastern Sicily environments, among the wild nature of the Alcantara River Park. A fantastic adventure to live with your friends and spend a day full of fun.

The horseback ride through the Alcantara Valley mainly follows the riverbanks, where scenic nature trails reveal breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and ancient lava flows. Over millennia, the river has sculpted the basaltic rock into unique and spectacular formations.

On the way, we would visit famous Byzantine Cuba (a rural chapel where Cuba was built by Basilian monks starting from the 7th century) and then we will reach the small Castiglione Gorges, where in the warmer months, it is possible to cool off in the cool waters of the river.

Etna Tour 5h: €100

Tours run between 8.30am and 6pm.

In July and August, the tours take place in the cooler hours, therefore avoiding the hours from 1pm to 4pm.

  For this excursion, it is important to arrive about 30 minutes before the departure time.

• Distance from Taormina: 29.9 km.

• Nearest highway exit: Giardini Naxos. If your road to reach the Alcantara Gorges includes the motorway route, take the Giardini Naxos motorway exit and continue towards Francavilla di Sicilia.
